No, he didn't just take a flaming leak at the end... Oh my... Well...I really like the character but the first movie was sort of underwhelming for me. The idea of Johnny Blaze listening to the Carpenters was just...strange. Personally I feel Cage is woefully miscast in this role. I think he's too old for the part. But I will see this to show my support for the character. Alas it doesn't look much better than what we have already seen. The bike looks considerably smaller this time. I liked the bike in the first one.

      It's 2011. It's a hybrid.

Holy God that looks bad. If anyone thought GL was a bomb, here's a 60-70 megaton payload of crap.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.

I'm really lost on why they brought Cage back when it was so obvious he was not a good fit the first time. Perhaps his declining popularity and subsequent pay grade was all they could afford? Maybe no one else would touch it either...

The fire urinating killed it for me and I liked the first movie.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I would think this is likely the case, TK. I also think that, if MARVEL invested the time and money into a property like Ghost Rider, it COULD be just as big a movie as Thor or Cap, just in a different vein. I guess they figure they'll just milk it for what it's currently worth....

                Hmmmm....

I think the new one will fill the same niche the first one did for me: it's okay.... not particularly good, not particularly bad.... just sort of THERE. Well... except for the "it burns when I pee" part. That was.... er....

Stuff like this always strikes me as unfortunate, 'cos they'd be perfectly good "B" movies, if not for all the big names that get attached to 'em, and ramp up people's expectations.

Isn't Cage crawling out of bankruptcy? I think he need this more than Marvel needed him.

The first one was okay. I think Cage tried to find something in the character to exploit that wasn't there (hence the Carpenters thing), in an overblown "I am an ACTOR" kind of way, and it didn't really work. He did the same thing in "Kick-$%^" with his Adam Westesque character, and that DID work.

I saw it last night as a preview for the Conan movie. Was not impressed.
