OMG! The Next Green Lantern "Event" looks awesome.
Very interesting! But....2009? Looks like Final Crisis will be tying up everything for '08. I'm surprised they're even announcing this so far in advance. I wonder if this is an attempt to cash in on the zombie phenomenon?

....there's a zombie phenomenon....?
Stuff like this kinda bugs me for two reasons:
-Marvel already did it. Not that there isn't a long tradition of Marvel and DC ripping each other off, (Marvel does the "All New X-Men" DC does the "New Teen Titans." DC does "Amethyst, Princess of Gemworld," Marvel does "Crystar." Marvel does "The Eternals" DC does "Hercules Unchained." Etc...) but it still kinda bugs me.
-2008?!?!?! That's more than a year away! By the time it comes out the hype will have come, gone, and the book'll be a "classic" before anyone actually sees it! Does this mean a full year of ads, "teasers" and fanboy ramblings?!?!?
Does this mean they'll do something like have Thomas Wayne become a member or something like that?
I'm sure many dead heroes and villians will undoutabl show up for this event.
I wonder if this will be the big DCU crossover for 2009? If would make sense if they were hyping it this early.
Based on how much I enjoyed (the Geoff Johns portions) of The Sinestro Corpse War, I'm looking forward to the multicoloured lantern storyline which supposedly builds next year.
It's time to start placing your bets on the "bads" of this storyline.
I'm sure this guy is a given since it's his symbol on the rings...
I'd say this guy is a likely candidate...
Given how much Geoff Johns has poached from the handful of Green Lantern Corps backups/annuals that Alan Moore did, it's very likely that these guys will eventually show up (I think Ethan Van Sciver could try and out-creepy Kevin O'Neil if he were to try and draw them).
The other candidate would be...
No doubt once more making a deal to try and attain that elusive death he so desperately craves.

This might be the story that has been hinted on how they are going to bring Earth Two Superman back from the dead. I am pretty sure it is around the corner. They have thrown enough hints at us. Maybe this is the story.

I'm down for Black Hand and Nekron but I think the Cyborg Superman card has been played to death lately...best to put the character away for awhile IMO.

I wonder how many GLs that were killed when Hal went "nuts",will be brought back?
If you haven't noticed. The majority of them that Hal slaughtered when he was possessed by the Parallax thing, are back. So he technically never really killed anyone. They all came back.
You gotta love comic books. No one ever dies.
You know. The other day when got into a fight with my brother and punched him in the shoulder. It really wasn't me. I was possessed by Parallax. Yeah, that is it.
