I wonder if that's just some bs from Nolan to keep his real role under wraps.

I'm right outside Pittsburgh PA. I couldn't even get that close to filming. They got most of the area blocked off for several blocks.
These latest rounds of Batman Flicks are a total polar shift for me. The Burton era Bat films seemed total immersion. So much that the set seemed the real stars of the movies The Nolan Bat movies are more real world situated. It kinda surprises me that it works. Though not to long ago the streets of Pittsburgh were packed with Black suited body Armour wearing characters looking like Scifi warriors during the G2 summit.

I was more concerned with Ledger as the Joker before DK came out. After that film, I simply have no doubt Nolan knows what he is doing and will deliver. When it comes to film, Nolan has, in my opinion, delivered the most thoughtful and unique translation of the Dark Knight to date. Also keep in mind that Nolan is the first to actually cover Batman's origin in full. That right there is an achievement when you consider we were already four films in before we got to a full blown origin. AND he had to overcome the debacle that was B&R. I have no doubt Bane will be amazing to watch and will take Batman to his limits as Nolan always does with all of the villains. Should be very good.

I made the DK Returns argument at another site after the trailer. Bane as the big mutant, with a combo of Arkham/League Assasins as his group.

                        1. Juno Temple - The young girl added to the cast. Most assumptions is that she's Selina's sidekick from Year One, but seems to be a cross with Carrie Kelly.

                        2. Sons of Batman - already established in TDK

                        3. The trailer - Gordon says Batman has been gone (since TDK).

If they break Batman's back, does Kelly and Levitt take over for Batman and Gordon, or does Catwoman throw Wayne into the Nolan's version of the Lazarus Pit? It's the only way to heal him within a short time frame.

When I saw production photos of the Lazarus Pit, I immediately felt inclined to believe it's story responsibilities involved healing Bruce's broken back in a timely manner. That sequence should be amazing to watch.

Pics of Bane fighting Bats. You can see Joseph Gordon Levitt in the foreground of one shot.

Man, security must be paper thin on this movie. BB and DK shot in Chicago, and there were nothing like the bootleg photos out there. And they are just a week into shooting in Pittsburgh!

Cool shot. Bane looks kind of tiny though.

Say what you want about Bale, be his Batman could eat just about anyone for breakfast.
