I haven't read much of his independent, lower profile work....none of the British stuff either. I really dig his Watchmen, Swamp Thing, V for Vendetta and his few tries at Superman ("Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow" and "For the Man Who Has Everything").

        So hard to choose...

        V for Vendetta.
        Swamp Thing.
Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow.
For the Man who Has Everything.
        Killing Joke.
        Marvel/Miracleman
        Halo Jones is hugely underrated.
        Bojeffries Saga.
        League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.

I also have a fondness for Johnny B Quick.

I'll have to go with Watchmen.

Worst Alan Moore work is undoubtably Badrock Versus Violator.

Skizz was a really poor ET ripoff, but still head and shoulders above most of the stuff out there.

                No love for Promethea?

I also love the Tomorrow Stories books, Watchmen, and Killing Joke. Honestly, the only Alan Moore book that I didn't love so far has been League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, because I didn't get all the Sherlock Holmes references. So I didn't understand some of what was going on.

I've got all the hardback Prometheas, but because I tried to read them all in one go found it pretty hard going..would have been better to have got them as monthlys I suppose..Killing Joke was great though.
