Kirbyesque Hulk in the Avengers movie

If this is how Hulk will look in the Avengers, then i am very pleased. Clearly based on the original Kirby style Hulk in Hulk 1-5 and Avengers 1 & 2 as well as FF 12. Way better than the previous two Hulk movie versions. As long as the Hulk doesn't change size and color through-out the movie, lol! then this is going to be incredible!

I wholeheartedly agree with the both a' ya's!!! I'm all for an old-school, tip-of-the-hat-to-Kirby Hulk and hope they can pull it off. I, for one, would also like for him actually have the ability to articulate for once. I'm sure everyone here remembers that when Banner first became The Hulk, The Hulk was NOT a mindless mass of muscle, but rather Banner's repressed, angry side still able to think and reason, but not really restrained by the morals and inhibitions of a normal person. IMHO, that's part of what made The Hulk such an interesting character and none of the movies have managed to capture that...
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

I think it'd be nifty if they did him more like the Hulk in the current Avengers cartoon. Kind've a wiseacre "Hulk Smash!"

I'd agree in a regular Hulk movie, but in the context of the Avengers I'm suspecting that it will be based on the Ultimates, which means he's a threat that they are taking down as suggested by the credits of the incredible hulk. In that case, savage is probably preferable to the comical dialogue about Freddie Prince Jr.

The key to the brutish Hulk is the big brow and the large distance between the bottom of his nose and his upper lip. Neither movie design got that. This one does.

That's a very cool looking Hulk. I hope he's portrayed like he was in the first 6 issues of the Hulk series and the first three Avengers. It was kind of the inspiration for Peter David's Mr. Fix-it version.

A cleaver, cunning and sorta mean Hulk is an interesting Hulk to me. Much better than the raging unspeaking brute or the misunderstood 5-year-old Hulk Smash version.

Now this is the Hulk, folks.

In the first movie...he looked like a bloated Eric Bana...in the second one...he looked like a teenager...lol.

But this one is THE HULK for sure...I love it...

                          ...and you know what?

Mark Ruffalo fits the Bruce Banner persona better than either Eric Bana or Edward Norton.

Actually, I've heard he's going "commando" in this movie. Then the Avengers will REALLY have something to be scared of!!!
