    Newbury Comics....What a Joke

I was in Boston last weekend and hit 2 Newbury Comics locations (Quincy Market and South Shore Plaza)...Worse "comic" shop I've ever been too, didn't buy a freakin' thing. In fact, "Comics" seems to be a misnomer....it should be Newbury Music.

The "New" comics section (they had no back isssues at all) was miniscule and confusing as to what exactly, if anything, had shipped that week. Like I said, didn't drop a dime...first time EVER that I've done that in a comic store. Their comic-related merchandise wasn't that impressive either.

Haven't been to the one in Boston for awhile(on Newberry Street)...but it looks like I got the best one up here in Maine. Plenty of Comics...clearly marked new releases, quite a lot of back issues(nothing real old but I don't buy old comics anymore, I have them all).
Great toy selection(got Pike & Salt Vampire). Plus I like the music part of the store. Awesome selection of CDs at decent prices.

And for having a file with them, I get 20% off all my Comics! I LOVE Newberry Comics!

I found each Newberry Comics that I've been to widely ranging from the other.
The one in Harvard Square wasn't bad.

Did you manage to visit our new Mego Meet friends at Comicazi?
