Geez! I hate that suit! Looks like Spidey is going scuba diving! But I'll give the movie a shot....maybe.

I like Spidey as well but not growing on me. I wish they would just continue on with the series rather than start all over. This will inevitably be compared to the first one and it will have a hard time comparing.

I am in the minority it seems as I like the way the mask looks. The rest of the suit sort of gives me a manga vibe and that is OK as well. Works better for me than the neon Tron thing I saw posts of from the books a little while back.

Funny that there is a shot of Parker with a basketball in there. Perhaps he is thinking "Hmmmm, I like the feel of this - could make a spiffy costume if I peeled a couple of them."

The new treatment just reeks of Twilight influence... I think this pic deserves a more honest interpretation...

Nice to see that they AREN'T going with the Green Goblin again....Makes me wish DC/Warner Bros would learn from that and NOT use Luthor or Zod over and over in Superman flicks....

Ah poor Dylan Baker. Hanging around all the previous movies all that time with the possibility of Lizarding out dangled in front of him. Him and Billy Dee Williams should be in a support group together.

Many of those promo pics look like they were taken from Ultimate Spider-man. Not a bad thing given how it did make Aunt May a much more vital character.

In some ways today's kids probably relate more to "freak" than "geek", but I still thing they cast the wrong guy from The Social Network.

Just thing how much they could have saved in hair product alone!

Although given the fact when I went to see Harry Potter last night at midnight, given that five theatres were packed with mostly teenage girls and NOT 40 year old men, I guess I very much understand why the studio chose to go this route.

Bah humbug from me. I'm glad for people who are looking forward to it, but this just looks terrible to me.

Also, "(500) Days of Summer" is the movie I'd most like to punch in the face. I can't believe how much Raimi - a veteran filmmaker - had to struggle to get that gig, and then some music/TV director with some dumb arty high-concept romantic comedy gets handed a franchise like this. It reeks of the poor choices DC has been making with their directors to me.

"Fresh talent" is one thing, but at least let buddy direct an action picture before hiring him for a Spider-Man movie. Not some overly quirky empty headed fluff.

Wow...I've never heard anyone say a bad thing about 500 Days until now.

I wanna see Spidey. It looks different but it still feels like Spider-man so I wont be hating until I watch the movie and decide on those merits alone.

If you look at X-Men First Class as an example. It's nothing like the comics. Nothing. But the movie was so good that it's found a place in my heart forever. I figure something like that might happen here.

It looks terrible to me in the same way Ultimate Spider-Man doesn’t appeal to me. I was totally into the John Romita stuff in the 1970s. And it seems like this “reboot” is attempting to cash into that modern-fan market I have no relation to. Not to mention the whole glut of super-hero movies and rehashing turns me off to even sneaking into seeing any of this. I’d like to see something original for once in the world of modern hero film-making.

I am the kinda-guy who says, "Why not". Although I hate anything Twilight, and the entire cultural influence created as a result of that series makes me yearn for clippers and a ban on male makeup; at the same time... I like the Ultimate Spider-Man. So what they heck, I will wait and give it a chance.

I'm a glass "half full" kinda guy...so I'm not going crap on a movie before I've even seen it...that's just ridiculous.
