Okay, DC just reeled me back in. I freaking love Sinestro so this a huge win in my book. I don't see this relaunch lasting but Ill be all over this one.

Apparently Hal is stripped of his ring after he kills Krona. What a cool twist of fate, if only for a short time.

Man, I don't know what to think about this. I love Sinestro, he's a really cool character...but Hal being stripped of his ring? I'm not liking that! Of course I realize it will only be temporary. They didn't go to all the trouble of bringing Hal back since "Rebirth" to not have him be a Green Lantern.

Well, he was the best part of the movie, so maybe DC gave him a promotion.

Well, it's not like there aren't a half dozen other Corps for Hal to get a ring from now. He's pretty much been a two second action figure variant of them all by now.

Although the GL corps did recently make it okay to kill during the Sinestro War.

My theory is that the plan is for Sinestro to be Hal's partner in the sector since it's already been established that John and Guy star in GL Corps and Kyle is in New Guardians

And correct me if I'm wrong but didn't the Guardians lift the "lethal force" ban on the rings? So what's the big deal if Hal killed Krona?

And again, Krona's been killed before and has come back...

Sounds like GL won't be a book I'll be continuing when the DCnU hits...I'm tired of all this nonsense lately anyway...

From what I got out of it, the guardians strip the ring because Hal actually had the ability to kill Krona, a guardian himself. Hal scared the blue poop out of them

I had some blue poop the other day!! Does that make me a Guardian of the Universe (or was it just the blue Kool-Aid I was consuming)?

Either way, it'll be interesting to see Sinestro back as a Green Lantern instead of a Yellow Lantern (although it does kinda screw up the plot for the second GL movie if it gets made).

Okay, I just read the latest issue and I'm totally on board.

It's funny when you look back at the events since Green Lantern Rebirth... Hal doesn't really change too much, and you can almost see the real storyline being the redemption of Sinestro. I don't doubt powerless-Hal will be kicking around still, but Geoff Johns has really made Sinestro one of the most complex villains/anti-heroes since Magneto. Such a far cry from the literal mustache twirling Superfriends baddie.

Any Lantern book starring whichever character he wants. Geoff Johns has my money for at least the new Green Lantern #1 (and probably Aquaman).
