First Captain America review!

Movie reviewer Dave Rabbit has posted his review over at Marvelousnews.com.

Without giving anything away, he loved it! He says despite his initial concerns, Chris Evans totally pulls it off as Steve Rogers, and true to Marvel fashion, the emphasis is on the MAN, not the POWERS, as that is what makes him the hero.

He also says that the movie is stylistically very similar to the Rocketeer, also directed by Joe Johnston, and that fans of that film will also love Cap.

Great news. I hope Cap is better received than GL. I really liked GL, but I must admit, Cap is looking superior.

Every new trailer I see of Cap...just looks better and better. I really think this will be the biggest Superhero movie of the summer. At least I hope it will...because I love Captain America and really want them to get this right.

I think Captain America will be the only summer action flick that delivers. The trailers look amazing and the first review makes me excited.

Holy crap! That explains how the origin the 1940s gets moved to the present day; makes me wonder if the whole concept of Cap being “out of place” in the modern world will be explored.

I loved The Rocketeer (after all, Jennifer Connelly ), so I'm expecting Captain America to be excellent, even though Joe Johnston kinda let me down with JP3 (of course, I'm a HUGE T-Rex fan and watching him get a Spinosaur to take down a Rex didn't make me happy). The trailers to Cap all look good and have a very "Iron Man" vibe to them, so I hope it does well. I think the only obstacles it will face will be Harry Potter and Cowboys and Aliens....
