And on the flipside, WB execs are quoted as saying its too early to discuss GL sequels.

Add to that the fact that the execs even mentioned M.O.D.O.K. ?!!!

        Most. Awesome. Marvel. Villain. Ever.

MODOK would be sweet, I could see a CGIed Dwight from the Office playing him.

Ah. Then I stand corrected in the GL thread. No problem.

I wonder how they're going to approach Captain America set in modern day? I'm sure the Red Skull will make it to the future with Cap...my guess is that they both come to the present day through the Cosmic Cube.

The Red Skull will probably become the leader of the present day Hydra and continue with Hitler's plans and try to bring about a 4th Reich.

Just my thoughts on a plotline.

I would guess in a second movie they'd move on from the Skull and onto someone else. Cap's got some pretty cool foes they could turn to. Just to name a few Baron Blood, Dr. Faustus, Madame Hydra, Zemo, The Serpent Squad, lots of good ones to chose from!

Could they do an Invaders film, or is the original human torch not available because of the FF deal?

I'd love to see Baron Blood, just to see the famous scene where Cap finally takes care of that bloodsucker! One of comic's most awesome moments.

I'm just hoping the first movie doesn't get any fallout from the Lantern film. As much as I loved Lantern, Cap will profile very much the same way - A character people have heard of, but don't really have a mainstream understanding about. Once again the critics might keep people away if they go in with their pens sharpened to kill.

Actually Cap 2 would be a great way to introduce the Black Panther

I think Cap has a bit more street cred than GL with the general public. And the connection to Iron Man and Thor will help. The critics generally seem to like period pieces, so if the atmosphere of the times is there (and it seems to be from the trailer) I bet they'll go easier on Cap than GL, unless they are just fed up with comic movies.

Its strange all these superhero flick reports, because they all loved Thor
