The "new" Wonder Woman costume looks like the hated TV pilot costume.

Did DC learn nothing from the costume backlash from the recent canned WW pilot? Looks like a mix of the show costume with previous update without the ridiculous XMEN jacket. Couldn't they at least give her red boots or something? Hopefully they will not depower her, again.

You know, this reboot would all be worth it if we end up with a less dark, convoluted and more heroic DC universe out of this. But, unfortunately, that's probably not going to happen. All these "modern" redesigns scream 90s "hip" and "edgy" to me. Oh, well.

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

    Hmmmm....

I think the problem is that a multimedia extravaganza like a tv show co-ord with a "new look" comic takes months to prepare; even if it fizzles right out of the gate. So you can expect a few months for the comic to bypass the show; even though the show wasn't actually shown.

With Jim Lee doing the redesigns were fortunate that everyone isn't wearing a freakin jacket.
      Hey! Check out the pictures.

I don't like the choker or the arm band but other than that I like it.

Brian Azzerello as far as I can recall, other than Red Dragon, has only ever done really dark and noir stuff for most of his career. And even Red Dragon was a kind of "macho" over the top kind of action comedy. His Superman with Jim Lee had a certain amount of moodiness to it as well. The cover doesn't look like his Wonder Woman will be any different.

Funny enough, his wife drew Wonder Woman after Perez (I think Perez was still scripting. Her stuff leans towards a certain degree of whimsy. It would be fascinating to see them do a project together.

Her style was probably the most girl friendly Wonder Woman this side of Trina Robbins.

I heard stories that she was giving her Wonder Woman art away because no collectors were really interested in it at the time.

For what it's worth, I think fans tend to make mountains out of these cosmetic molehills.

              They ALWAYS eventually default back.

Although Steve Trevor seems to be the one huge exception to that rule. He's been out as WW's love interest for the better part of a quarter century now.
