ICONS } The Art of Jim Lee

For you Jim Lee Fans out there.

This Book Is Bad Arse Folks.
I didn't know this was even out there. The Axe Sent me a Copy of this in the mail..., I've just started getting into it ...

It basically covers the Art of Jim Lee, From DC Comics, to Batman To his Wildstorm Days, Characters, Designs, Sketches, layouts and Early character Drawings of some of his Creations. Pin-Ups, and Sketches for his Friends, and whatnot are also present.

    This Book is Huge.
Probably like 250 Pages, Hard Cover and is like 12 by 8 inches Big.
It's Unbelievable, and reasonably Priced at 40 bucks.

I've grown up reading Jim Lee drawn Books for the better part of 21 years.
For his style of Artistic work, there has probably been nobody Better in the industry. I do wish the book woulda covered his Marvel Days too ...

This is a Must have for Jim Lee Fans.

This is one I'll eventually pick up. Goes nicely along with the big coffee table books of Alex Ross and Adam Hughes' DC work.

Hoping they give one of these to George Perez given how he's been back at DC for so many years now.

You know I'll be all over this BK! I've also got a nice HC called Jim Lee: Millennium Edition. Not to mention the GIANT sized Hush HC.

Actually, I've been admiring this book for quite some time. It IS a substrantial tome and would be nice to have it autographed by Jim Lee himself if I ever get anywhere he is. The BORDERS in Louisville is closing down and I hope to pick this book up, along with Alex Ross' ROUGH JUSTICE for 50% off in the next couple of days (provided no one finds out where exactly I stashed it!)

sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.
