That Nightwing design is badass. Talk about a custom with a degree of difficulty. I always thought he should have a utilty belt for gadgets instead of the batons, but this looks really, really nice.I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

seems like all the relaunchs are Batman titles...add now Red hood & the Outsiders, Batwing (the Batman of Africa).
Animal Man was also announced.
The Birds of Prey relauch looks to have Black Canary, Thorn, a new Katana (?), and I think Rose Tatoo from the Authority. DC is trying to integrate the Wildstorm characters into the books. sad to NOT see Huntress & Lady Blackhawk in the BOP.Comment

I'll admit sime of this stuff has true potential and could be really, really good. NOw, if DC can find a printer that works with a slightly lower quality paper and looser deadlines maybe they can come in on most monthlies around 2.50.

Batwing looks like a turd. That suit and that setting will fail horribly. It's a little late now to try and appeal to black America with your books, DC. Fifty-plus years and you've offered Black Lightning and Black Vulcan, Black Manta and John Stewart. This just looks forced.I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

MY point is don't force a black dude into a suit with a bat symbol, possibly the second most recognized in all of comics. It looks deperate. DC has had decades to develop their black characters into major players without any success, and they made the decision to put a bat cowl on him and see if it flies. They need to work on their existing characters before creating one. Do you know how cool a Bronze Tiger series could be? Go with a gritty, espionage/assasination theme and you have a hit. The more I'm seeing and reading about these reboots, the better it sounds. I think I was shocked at the JLA artwork, but a lot of the rest looks really, really good. It seems they've done research and paired up some good writer/artist combos.
I'm scared to see if they truly are making Superman younger. A great deal of his character is his body of work and the respect he commands. I've always seen him as perpetually 35 years old. Young enough to grasp contemporary concepts yet old enough to be considered a veteran with astounding experience. COnner Kent is fine as an early twenties Supes. Clark is not.
I also am anxious to see if they try Shazam again and if they will totally screw it up again. It's not that difficult to put him into regular continuity and not on an alternate Earth. I don't understand what the issue is. Sure Superman is considered the global protector and rightly so. Cap Marvel should be his back-up. How cool would a Cap/Bizarro fight be? George Perez writing and drawing Superman intrigues me.
Although to be honest, I'd much rather he teamed with Geoff Johns on Superman (if Gary Frank is still busy with Batman Earth 1).Comment
