^Maybe it's the Jim Lee influence, but a lot of this has a decidedly 90s feel. It may be that there are a lot of creators involved that hit it big during that era (starting with Jim Lee and working down), or it could be that some of the new creators grew up with the 90s books.
It has that X-Men/Early Image thing going on. Which is just an odd fit for DC.
Chris
So basically what's old is new again and we're seeing the second coming of Image........Madre Mia Help us all......
Ok I won't rag all of it cause I did like Spawn and Jim Lee's art in Wildcats.....
and Stephen Platt.....

Liefeld? He gets work at DC and Byrne has to shlub at IDW on Trek books?
Ex-freakin-xactly!
I cannot figure out how Liefeld gets work aside form his own company. I know he did Hawk and Dove before, but a homecoming at DC during it's supposed revival/relaunch id porrly timed. I wouldn't have him illustrate a coloring book.
So does anyone remember that Robin took his name from ROBIN HOOD and not the bird anymore?
Okay, I guess not.
Chris
I suspect this would be a wonderful storyline for the Tiny Titans to explore... particularly if they build on the Speedy/Kid Flash schtick they have already established where they expect Speedy to run fast because of his name.
"You're named after ROBIN HOOD?!"
"Doesn't Robin Hood use a bow and arrow?"
Again with the Legion?! Looks like Red Robin is getting literal with his costume. Really not so impressed with any of the new Teen Titans costumes. Shouldn't they be trying to make them look a bit more like their animated Young Justice counterparts at this point? With Lobdell and Booth, it looks like the nineties all over again.
Liefeld BACK on Hawk and Dove, the characters that launched his career.
I always got the impression he was kind of that already. BIg hulking supernatural guy working for a govt. agency. It'd be cool if they paired him up with Klarion the Witch Boy from 7 Soldiers as his sidekick.
That would be brilliant! I loved Morrison's take on Klarion.
Given the popularity of such gothy characters like Emily the Strange, I'm really surprised DC hasn't tried to bank on this take a bit more to expand the audience.
I'm really happy that this is happening as well, and Jeff Lemire is quite an emerging talent. I'm currently reading Essex County.
My only bit of hesitation would be their method of marketing this might give the impression of a Hellboy knockoff.
