The Earth 2 Huntress was a nice character as Batman and Catwoman's daughter. Don't really care for the current continuity character. She's fine in a co-starring role in Birds of Prey.

Brave and Bold No. 184 features a team-up of Batman and Huntress by Mike Barr and Jim Aparo and is one of my favorite issues of the series. Really can't think of an issue of Brave and Bold Batman team-ups that I like better.

I was just reading the Huntress article in Alter Ego magazine. Sometimes it's hard to wrap your head around the fact that the Earth 2 Huntress was around for less than a decade before her end in Crisis and the Post Crisis Huntress is coming close to the quarter century mark and has had so many more published adventures, particularly as a co-star in Birds of Prey.

I have a fondness for both for different reasons, but it was really nice to see a close approximation of the Earth 2 Huntress show up again JSA. Her and Power Girl always made a great duo, and I was always kind of disappointed that they never used her more in Infinity Inc.

Been a while since I've read any Huntress stories...but I did love the Joe Staton series that ran about 20 issues. Very gritty. Is the Huntress still that person from the Staton series or has she changed her identity again like so many DC characters have?
"When not too many people can see we're all the same
And because of all their tears,
Their eyes can't hope to see
          The beauty that surrounds them
          Isn't it a pity".

Loved the precrisis Huntress. Bought the trade awhile ago. One weird thing, she was in Batman Family and Wonder Woman, they left out her appearance in Batman Family 17 when they released the trade. So you can read all her stories in the trade except that one issue. I just bought a lot of Batman Family comics just to read what I missed.

As far as I know, yes, the current Huntress is still Helena Bertenelli, the daughter of a mob boss. They have tweaked her origin a few times, but it's more or less the same.

I have a great fondness for the Earth Two Huntress, and really enjoyed that TPB. I understand her series in Wonder Woman continued, and there is probably another trade worth of stories to reprint. But Paul Levitz had to give the series up, so DC isn't probably as quick to reprint those since there isn't a "name" involved.

Thanks for the info. I didn't know that the Huntress continued in WW. I will have to look up those back up stories. I've been doing that a lot lately, buying issues for their back ups. I just finished putting a run of Action comics for their Airwave appearances. Same with the Firestorm tales in Flash. I had no idea that George Perez's first work for DC was in the Firestorm story in Flash 291. Cool stuff. Now it's going to be released as a trade. DC sure had some gems in their back up stories.
