It's official: NBC takes a pass on Wonder Woman

Just as well. It didn't look very strong in concept and the outfit was poorly crafted. I'm glad they left it alone. With comic licensing now a mega commercial business with a strong theatrical presence, I don't want to return to the days when we were burned by campy television interpretations centered around weak production values.

I must admit I too am relieved. I'd hate to see this generation be introduced to a character in a very lackluster and our stupid translation.

Maybe that means the next stop is the big screen. Once DC sees how well Marvel did Thor and the Norse Gods maybe they'll try their hand at Amazons.

Thank Hera. It's for the best. It did not look good.

Hopefully Wondy will now get a big budget movie instead.

Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Yeah, it feels like WB let Kelly see this through so not to burn a bridge. Green Lantern is tracking huge, so I'm sure they're going to move on WW quicker than anticipated.

Thor's opening also shows you can do non-traditional superhero fare and draw an audience.

It all started with that horrible miscasting of Wonder Woman...that chick was all wrong for the role.

I think it's bad new's for Wonder Woman. I really wanted to see her on TV again and who know's the series could have been good. I'd judge it for myself.

It's been more than 30 years since they did anything with Wonder Woman. I doubt anyone will try anytime soon. I'm disappointed.

For the perfect WW casting, look no further than Lady Sif.

Wait according to this interview, Jamie says she was asked not once, but twice to play WW?

"..look, if I got approached to play Wonder Woman, which has happened once or twice, I would have to say, "Look, let's take this serious. Let's make her a positive role model. Let's make this a non-campy version of her." Because I haven't seen that done yet. Yet that's essentially what I got to do with Sif in Thor. I got the best of both worlds. "

I actually saw about 20 minutes of the pilot and it was beyond awful. It's about time a major network stood up said; "Nope. This is absolute garbage and we aint showin' it, even if it is Wonder Woman..." Good for you, NBC. Now all we need is for big studios to start doing the same thing...

                            Nuff said.

Lets hope they cast somebody who's actually got some real boobs next time. She's not going to be a Wonder Woman without the body of an amazon! Everything about those pics looked awful, I'm surprised it got as far as it did.
