    Green Hornet...the movie

Finally saw it this evening for the first time with my family on DVD.

I enjoyed it and laughed to the point of tears when a certain person wearing a certain sweatshirt of a pro football team was killed because it was green when the villain was trying to catch the Green Hornet.

My only complaint was the language used and not really being a suitable family movie. I thought it was funny as did my 16 year old son but my 10 year old was also watching it and I really didn't expect the foul language. I really wished the Director cleaned it up a little on the language and maybe cut a little from the graphic violence and am guessing it would have done better in the theaters. I'm all for artistic independence and did enjoy the movie overall...just wished they made it more kid friendly

Actually making PG movies are not as profitable as you might think...unless it's animated.

    PG-13 rules the box office.

I don't have kids...don't care about kids (don't hate them or anything, I just find them a tad annoying, lol)...therefore...I'm glad the flick was a little "crude"...lol...

It would have received the PG-13 rating just for the action sequences. It was a decent movie and think it might have done better at the box office if they had cut the foul language out of it.

I just saw it for the first time 2 days ago. First half good. Later on lots of filler material I could just do without. Ended well enough.

I only watched the original show a few times so I didn't really compare it much.

        2.5/5 stars

PG / PG-13 / R etc all relative and fairly meaningless. I saw a documentary on Netfilx "This film is not yet rated" which addressed this. I was a fairly poorly made doc but the points are well taken. The number one factor I agree with is that the ratings system fails when showing a naked person is given a stricter rating than grotesque, graphic, gratuitous violence and gore.

I just got through watching it about an hour and a half ago. It was okay; I'd buy the DVD if it was like $10.

The movie was about what I expected when it signed Seth Rogen to star and work on the script with the language and such. The film had some decent action, but overall I thought it was a pretty weak effort.

I goofed and rented it from a Blockbuster Express box. Couldn't watch it because of scratches on the disc that clearly came from the far too tight fitting dispensing case they use. I won't be back.

I still would like to see this movie. The first few minutes with James Defranco were great! Redbox it is!
