Which day are you going? Hopefully we can actually meet up for more than 3 minutes this time!

Also, why does this happen everytime I'm broke?

I'll be popping in for short periods on both days between crunching work deadlines/client meetings.

It'll be right near that little corridor of relatively inexpensive Asian Fusion places on Yonge if you want to grab lunch on whichever day you are going.

Out of all of them, I've never had an opportunity to meet Farel Dalrymple, and I'm a huge fan of The Pop Gun War.

I seem to recall you're not big on Adrian Tomine, but you might get a kick out of his new Graphic Novel Scenes from an Impending Marriage.

Wow - I can't believe you remember that I'm not nuts about Adrian Tomine! I haven't seen that book, but looks kinda cute. We're in the midst of planning a party now, so I should probably get that for my wife. Might be one of those things where it's less funny when you're actually IN the situation though! haha!

I always appreciate his art skills, and it's cool to see that his skill transfers over to a more cartoony style as well.

I'm PMing you about this weekend!

Had a great time popping into TCAF this past weekend (although I did kinda sorta miss out on Free Comic Book Day).

Picked up the out of print Darwyn Cooke artbook and he was kind enough to do a little doodle when he signed it. Should have brought my New Frontier singles. Was really tempted to get the Absolute Edition.

Picked up the new Adrian Tomine book, and the line-up wasn't too bad for him to sign it.

Had a bit of a hard time finding Farel Dalrymple, but once I did he was super nice. I bought some original art and he even did a free small sketch that he coloured and inked!

Never managed to find Chris Ware either... I was told he was shuffled off to the basement. Also never found David Bosworth who does Reid Fleming the World's Toughest Milkman. Completely surprised that James O'Barr was sitting fairly unnoticed behind the long lines formed in front of Seth, Chester Brown and Adrian Tomine.

Great crowd. I'm overjoyed that this as become an annual event. I truly wish I had much more time to spend there this weekend, particularly running into so many old friends. Had a delightful lunch with Brazoo and his entourage. Hopefully I didn't traumatize his lovely bride and sister in law too much with my reckless storytelling.

Discovered some cool indie stuff too.

Xeric Award Winner Wei Li's absolutely heartbreaking graphic novel Lotus Root Children.
