    Legion of Doom...on Smallville?!?

Wow, I need to turn in my geek card. I totally missed this in the preview for this Friday's episode:

Smallville Episode 20 "Prophecy" Trailer Online, First Look At Solomon Grundy, Captain Cold & Black Manta!

Here's a screen cap from Rob's awesome Aquaman Shrine!

    Sweet Christmas!

Was that Stargirl as well? Glad they are bringing back Supergirl before the end.

Nice nod to one of the oldest chestnuts in the Superman mythos.

Looked like Stargirl. And don't forget, Lois got powers and became Ultra Woman on Lois & Clark!

TV Guide says for next Friday Lois gets Clarks powers and has to battle Toyman.

I'm glad they managed to fit one more Zod in reconciling the two versions, although it would have been nice to see James Marsters as a Bad Brainiac one more time as well (not that his Brainiac 5 wasn't fun).

Anyone else a little disappointed that they didn't cast Ed Asner in drag as Granny Goodness?

I have been seriously into this the last two seasons.
Been watching since the JSA appearance and I was a confirmed hater of this show. I don't know why....maybe it was Chris ranting on here that got me watching. Now, I want to see the end!!!!

Me ranting? Never! Well maybe just a little.

I've said this elsewhere, but the ending of season 8 really soured me on the show. Fortunately, season 9 really took things in the right direction, and the majority of the last two seasons have been some of the best yet for overall quality. Way to go out with a bang!

Give yourself a pat on the back. I hated this show from the beginning. Now, I am waiting to see what is next.
I told myself, this is a Superman from another Earth and then all of my biased anger went away and I allowed myself to watch it.

It's still ridiculous to me that that show is going to end exactly where a lot of people would've have wanted it to start. You're going to be wanting so much more and you'll never get it.

I don't know if I'd call it "ridiculous", as that may imply that it wasn't a successful long-running series.... HOWEVER, I was essentially thinking
along those lines, as this show's "direction" never appeared "clear" to me...
and I've spent all this time waiting for it to finish so I could cherrypick
from what many here say is a good show that has DCU superhero stuff
in it that I'd supposedly really enjoy because I'm a Supes/DCU fan.

Looks like I don't have long to wait for that 40 or so episode list.

Looks like they're pulling out all the stops for the finale! Lex coming back, Legion of Doom, Zod...they're going out on high note! It's been a good long run...ten years is nothing to sneer at.

Given the fact that there is so much other Superman media out there that starts where this one ends is what is most refreshing about Smallville's 10 year run. And even if it doesn't fit neatly between the Smallville and Metropolis scenes in the original movie, it's been as big a love letter to the Superman mythos without compromising the no flights/tights rule as you can get.

And it's gone way beyond what anyone expected it to be as well... bringing in Lois and taking them through to engagement, and so many Justice League characters... c'mon, a decade ago did anyone ever expect that they would see Aquaman, Supergirl, Cyborg, Hawkman, Legion of Superheroes, Green Arrow, Dr Fate, Doomsday, Darkseid, on this show let alone Booster Gold and Blue Beetle?

There were many times over the past half dozen years where I thought that it would have been best if they put this away while it was still at the top of their game, but every year they have surprised me with some more cool stuff.

It will be interesting if they do decide on a spinoff show.
