The original Superman vs. Doomsday fight was very well done. It got overshadowed by the huge marketing blitz that DC quickly put out there, but the whole arc of Doomsday's emergence and then his destructive path across country until those two final blows in Metropolis was just flat-out fantastic. Unfortunately, it helped cement "the event" for comic books.

Another great fight is everyone vs. Dyna-Man from "The Golden Age". From the truly shocking reveal to the last "Mein Gott." it was gripping.

Wow, I've never heard anybody who disliked Jurgen's art. I thought it was great. Jurgens is one of the last practicioners of the Neal Adams school of comic art.

Plus you had several other artists working on that. Jon Bognadove, Tom Grummet, Jackson Guice. All solid stuff in my book.

No doubt that Fantastic Four 25,26 tops my all time battle list.
The Avengers 115,116/Defenders 7,8,9 war would be second.
Thor 126, just for the cover alone.
            Fantastic Four 112,
Fantastic Four 57,58,59 A Surfer powered Dr Doom v FF.
Sorry quoting numbers from my aging brain, may not be the right issues

Not actually in the comics, but Superman's throwdowns with Darkseid on STAS, JL and JLU were just frickin' brilliant.
