Weird. I think one of the tough things about using the old Giolden Age superheroes is that they're all SOOOOO generic. You've got to find the little kernels that made them distinct, and a lot of the time those are based more on the writing of the day than the characters themselves. Phantom Lady is one of my favourites 'cos of a weird running schtick:
The two people who don't recognize her secret identity after she saved tham one panel earlier are her DAD AND FIANCE! Considering her disguise is conspicuous nudity this doesn't speak well of her accquaintances. (At least Clark puts on a pair of specs!)
Phantom Lady had an odd publishing life, jumping to and fro to different publishers. I thought DC could only lay claim to the yellow/green Quality version, but I guess the blue/red version is in public domain, so it's open.
