I won't believe it until WB release some PR on it. But it's interesting. I had a gut feeling that Nolan and company may have this character return in one form or another.

Wasn't the point of Ra's Al Ghul's "immortality" the fact that anybody could be Ra's Al Ghul (as seen in the first film). In fact, wasn't Liam Nisson's character (whether Ducard or "Ra's") grooming Bruce to take over?

With the rumours of Talia in this one, it will be interesting.

I think Gail Simone also teased Bane and the Secret Six as well, so we'll see where this one goes.

^That was one take, but they never came out and said it. Could be Ra's really is just one guy, like in the comics. The whole bit with Ra's acting like he was Ducard was a bit nebulous. Nolan likes to leave a lot of stuff open to interpretation, which I like.

Simone was just talking about Bane being in the movie, not the rest of the secret 6, too.

I took it to mean that the man introduced by Liam Neeson as Ra's Al Ghul was Ra's and when he died in the temple fire, Neeson became Ra's....or the Ra's al Ghul.
This is also how I view James Bond, personally. JB is a company identity and the name is assigned as a rank and cover ID to any agent as needed.

Of course, in my universe, Jor-El blew up Krypton with his crazy Hyperspace experiments...Introducing quantum singularities into the planet's core...

That's how he knew the planet was doomed but no other scientist on Krypton could figure it out. And why he was the only guy with a prototype warp ship...

The guy first introed as Ra's in Batman Begins wasn't really Ra's or Neeson's pred escessor. If you listen to Neeson's dialogue, he's speaks about deception and hiding in plain sight. it's part of what gives Wayne the idea of a double identity. it was pretty clear that he was Ra's from the beginning.

Given the very realistic, grounded tone of these movies... I doubt they'd introduce Lazarus Pits.

If you listen to Neeson's dialogue, he's speaks about deception and hiding in plain sight. it's part of what gives Wayne the idea of a double identity. it was pretty clear that he was Ra's from the beginning.

That was my takeaway too. I think that was Nolan's intention, but he never beats you over the head with explanations.

Yeah, it's a bit out there, but Ra's seemed to have a bit of his "mysticism" about him. Sounds like it's just a flashback though. I hope Liam Neeson is a surprise actor in this movie then.
