    Superman/Shazam--The Return Of Black Adam

It is not really a long animated movie but it is nice to see a cartoon drawn fairly nice with Black Adam in it.
    Anyone else see it yet?

It's basically a new animated secret origin Captain Marvel movie with Black Adam in it and possibly to get people to buy or watch the DVD they threw Superman in it.
three out of five stars for me

i saw it on netfix a couple weeks ago - i LOVED the Sup/shaz episode and was surprised that it was just ONE episode. There were 3 more episodes - Spectre, Jonah Hex and Green Arrow. We really like the GA one. Neat to see Spectre. Couldda done w/o Hex.

I thought it was pretty cool. the other shorts were all included on previous DTV movies and then they bundled them all up with the Shazam one in order to resell

I would love to see a full length animated Spectre movie with that same 70's cop/grindhouse treatment that the Showcase short has.
        Hey! Check out the pictures.

Spectre was the best of the bunch, wish Superman could have been kept out of the Captain Marvel origin.

Agreed there... being somewhat intrigued with SHAZAM/Cap,
it was so cool to see everything that was referenced (DCU)
except Supes... no offense to Supes (he's my favorite), but he
seemed like such a waste there.... how about sticking in Mary or somethin'?

Jonah Hex short is the best part of this DVD.

The Supes/Shazam episode came across as a lost script from STAS. Which isn't a bad thing! It was well done. I'm sick to death of Black Adam, but I liked how he was handled here.

The other shorts were cool. I especially liked the Spectre as well. Jonah Hex proves they should have just played his movie straight. Good stuff.

Green Arrow is the weakest of the bunch, although it's still entertaining.

Other than maybe a few extra, more gruesome seconds in the Spectre short, I can't really see where these shorts were "expanded editions" though.

Superman had no business being in the Captain Marvel origin. I think DC comics put him in there so that kids/people would be more willing to pick up the DVD. They do this a lot with no name characters. Stick someone like Batman or Superman in the story and then sell the DVD.

The Green Arrow one was short but cute toward the end. (I'm not spoiling it)

I really liked it. I wish it was longer or at least 2 short Shazam stories in there.

Like Sinestro was in the aforementioned STAS ep?

I don't read comics... so I was kinda let down that THAT was how I had to witness him in action for the firs time.
