The "metallic" parts look like painted plastic. Chenzy looking. This has no chance. DC better be careful how they market their properties. You don't want the general public thinking heroes are going back to the days of silly scripts and low production standards.

Looking at it again I agree the red boots are needed....just basic Design 101....you need the red boots to off-set the blue leggings and at the same time compliment the red top...Think OUTSIDE the Box! For the BEST in Repro & Custom Packaging!Comment

I don't really see where this is less "sexy" than the original (skin tight pants are going to show off plenty), its just more crappy. I don't really think that was the motivation for the change, tv and movie people seem to like to meddle for kicks. I also wonder if DC's current control art for WW looks a lot like this based on Jim Lee's crappy redesign. You must try to generate happiness within yourself. As much as I'd like to see the traditional outfit, no woman would have stood a chance in comparison to the original, and we all would have complained they were trying to hard and failing at the attempt. It comes down to whether they can make Boston Legal/Ally McBeal/The Practice/Harry's Law type shows with enough action to satisfy fanboys and still interest people that liked the above-mentioned. The writing is usually good on those shows, and the social message themes could work into the superhero mold, but its going to be something we haven't seen before. Whether it's good or not, we'll just have to see.
In retrospect though, Wonder Woman was fun to watch as a 10 year old, and had the right female empowerment/boobage ratio to keep the adults happy enough to allow it to be watched regularly, but it wasn't ever exactly Emmy award winning material.
As far as my opinion on the outfit, it looks bad in that lighting and her expression doesn't give you any idea of the character. It's not happy, angry, or even particularly sexy. I would expect the end result to look better given the right lighting and with some halfway decent acting, but I don't know enough about the actress' ability to judge her past work (Friday Night Lights?).

I don't know about that. I don't think PC has anything to do with this mess. This outfit is really far more "sexed up" than the Lynda Carter one. Yes, the legs are covered but her breasts are padded and smooshed right into her face and the whole thing reaks of cheap sleazy latex fetish wear. She doesn't look like WW. She looks like someone in a cheap sleazy store bought WW bootleg costume. You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. All I see with Palicki is "Welcome to Hooters."
I like the new costume, works for me, almost a cross of classic look and the new look they have created. I do agree red boots would probably look better.Comment

I wonder (heh) if this chick'll use that little Lynda Carter patented spin when she changes into WW?Think OUTSIDE the Box! For the BEST in Repro & Custom Packaging!Comment

If this show ends up being a bust (no pun intended) I betcha it'll kill any hopes of the property being a live-action production again in our lifetimes...Look how long it's been since Lynda Carter donned the satin tights...The movie has hung in development hell for ever....Joel Silver had the rights for an eon and was never able to accomplish anything with it.
Meanwhile in that same time period, we've had a semi-successful Superman movie 4-film franchise, an attempted reboot of said franchise and now a new big screen relaunch. Plus a live action Superman series as well as two Superboy TV series.
With Batman we've had yet another semi-successful movie 4-film franchise and an even bigger relaunch success of 3 films. Plus you can throw the numerous Batman animated series in the same time period as well as even the fringe Bativerse series "Birds of Prey".
And Wonder Woman.....squat. So I see all of the eggs riding in the proverbial basket of this new series.
DC/Warner Bros. hasn't known what to do with Wonder Woman for a long time. What they SHOULD have done was to make it a priority to have Geoff Johns revitalize the character the way they had him do Green Lantern and now are apparently having him do with Aquaman instead of bringing back a version of the Flash that wasn't totally necessary. After all Wonder Woman is the 3 part of the equation known as the DC Trinity and she's suffered horribly for lack of attention from the parent companies for the last 25 years (the Perez relaunch was that long ago folks).
But instead what DC/Warner gave us was a hackjob revamp by JMS who has already bailed on the book, turning his "plots" over to someone else, and a new unnecessary redesign of the classic costume. Band-Aid approaches IMO..when the real issue is finding a "voice" for Wonder Woman in this day and age...
What makes her unique and interesting above all other female super-heroes and yet on par with her buddies Clark and Bruce? I don't think DC/Warner knows the answer and I'm not sure the Ally McBeal dude does either..Think OUTSIDE the Box! For the BEST in Repro & Custom Packaging!Comment

That's NOT Wonder Woman. That is a SAD looking wannabe. This show will BOMB! And even though the Lynda Carter version may not have been Emmy Award winning material, she was a role model and hero to lotsa girls back in the day, (including myself). The Bionic Woman and even Isis were the same way. Who do girls have to look up to today? What heroes do they have? Most of them think they're too grown and all wanna be fast talking, loose, easy girls w/ tight clothes w/ a cell phone in one hand and a credit card in the other. That's what this Wonder Woman looks like to me. Give me the classics any day. I will NOT be watching this show."Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."Comment

Is Wonder Woman even part of the Trinity now or has she been replaced by Green Lantern, If you see some ads for DC it seems she has been demoted to 4th place, with 1st place being Superman, 2nd Batman (these to trade places) 3rd Green LAntern and 4th place WW. Also, if you follow the unnessary Reboot, she is not even remebered byt he rest of the Heroes she is a new Hero. what do ya all think? let me know. P.S. I want her back to how she used to be..... and I want the bikini back as well.Comment

^ DC may be pushing GL lately (I think he's got a movie coming out soon) but Wonder Woman will always be the 3rd member of the "Trinity". Depending on which generation you talk to some will say Aquaman 4th while others will probably say Green Lantern 4th.
