...But this is about the DUMBEST most IDIOTIC thing I've ever seen when it comes to CGC:

Somebody has either nothing better to waste their money on, or isn't taking their meds. I thought we were in a recession in this country. That's just INSANE for a book that probably still goes for cover price or is in a discount bin at comic shows.

Since when does CGC issue a 10 for anything? Has anyone else heard the chatter going around that that a 9.8 (and I guess a 10 now) is usually a 9.2-9.4 unless you're "in" with them?

The seller has a number of "10" issues for sale as well, including a Battlestar Galactica from the Marvel series for a grand. I think that one ungraded retails for about a quarter in reality.

That does seem ludicrous. The purpose of CGC should be to make transactions via the internet less of a game of dice, but it's now became of game unto itself with these 9.8-10 books and collector OCD.

It makes sense when you are dealing with true high-end books given the expense of having something slabbed, but creating a value by slabbing something is definitely putting the cart before the horse.

This is why i hate graded items be it comic books sports cards and action figures i want nothing to do with em
I've never brought a graded comic book and the few graded sports cards that i got at a good price i've cracked em out of the slab
None were a ten or even a nine and i paid less then book value for an ungraded version
to me the whole system is one big game with a sucker being sucked in everytime a sale like this takes place
