Like others I've never seen it. I am more curious after the comments in this thread.

4 is worth watching because of the mind-numbing scenes like this:

I was waiting for Art to chime in. HaHa. Hey art, I thought Superman 3 with Richard Pryor was awsome. The best out of all of them.

After we bought our tickets the Theater Manager stood in the lobby and announced, "No Air-Conditioning for Superman 4 theater! No refunds!" It just wasn't our night.

i have all the films on dvd.saw these films years ago, loved the first two, three was not to bad ,but nuclear-man and low budget makes the quest for peace tough to watch, but i like reeves and hackman, its better then supergirl, she was cute in her little super-girl suit, but that movie was awful.

              Exactly...lol.

"Look, ma...no spacesuit...but that's ok, I don't need either oxygen or protection from the brutal hellish re-entry...Superman gots me!"

"However...I still don't know why my hair is blowing in the vacuum of space...that one perplexes me to no end..."

Man, the budget was so low they cut the a/c?

Superman-4 get's a lot of ribbing because of the outerspace flying scene but few people realize how unrealistic ALL Superman movies are.

Take Superman-1's flying scene with Lois (can you read my mind)

No way would Lois be able to "fly" next to Superman using only her hand to his to support her.
In reality she would be dead weight and her whole body would be dangling down by her wrist --- which would break.

Well - if Superman fully supported her until he reach a speed the would provide enough lift for her (a person could be blown away in a tornado with 80 mph winds) and then slowly let her out and aloud her to stabilize in the windflow her legs could go behind. and because an object in motion tends to remain in motion - the only force superman would need to apply to her hand would be just enough to counter the wind friction.
Now I am not saying it is realistic for HER to do it but a fit person who practices this could do it. People dart all over the air with great agility speed and ease before opening parachutes.

that said I hated that scene.

^Yes, that's also why Connery Bond fans own Diamonds are Forever.

not a great movie by any stretch but still an enjoyable enough movei....the effects were horrible, especially the flying scenes. the john cryer character was totally unecessary and really quite annoying. the super villain was a good idea but poorly executed. editing poor. okay, hard movie to sit through with all of that but I have it in my collection anyway....i have only watched it once since I bought it

This movie was really really bad, however that is what I like about it. Back then most super hero films ended up being hack jobs due to poor effects and little budgets. The Nuclear Man character makes a very cool mego though.

Me too. I want to like 4 since it has a more "comic book" feel to it in general with a super bad guy cooked up by Luthor - BUT - my bigger problem is that it seemed WAY too preachy. Sure nuclear missiles are bad but Superman getting on a high horse about? Blah.
