Year One is my favorite Batman story bar none. I would have loved if Miller would have continued on from there sort of l like Byrne did on Superman after the Man of Steel mini series.

For a long time I hoped Miller would come back and do the Joker story that's hinted at on the last page, but after reading All-Star Batman and his Dark Knight sequel, I'm not really sure.

Although, I'd love to see Mazzucheli work on the character again.

Batman Begins culled some of the good stuff from the series, but it would have been neat if Nolan had used some of the Gordon stuff.

To me, Lucious Fox and Gordon have been done so well in Nolan's films.

Year one is also one of my all time FAVORITE Batman Stories. Probably Miller's best story period...before he lost his FREAKIN' Mind. Now I want Miller to stay far away from Batman.

I had always wanted a direct adaption of Batman:Year One to the big Screen...but was EXTREMELY happy with Batman Begins. But now thanks to the SUPER talented Bruce Tim...I can have both! I hope they capture David Mazzucchelli's art style.

Ditto everything that's been said here. I much prefer Year One over Dark Knight Returns, and don't even acknowledge DK2 and All-Star.

        Can't wait for this movie!

Seems like the best dc movies are Bat/supes headliners, guess Timm just gets those two better. Would love to see Batman Year 100 as the followup to this.

How about Batman: The Long Halloween & Batman: Dark Victory...by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale? They're the follow ups to Year One.

^^^ Those would be cool adapted to the Timm-verse as a series. Sort of before BTAS.
