Could this be possibly what Cap will look like in the Avengers

The promotional art for the Cap movie toys looks great, costume looks much sleeker and modern. I love the Avengers logo tying them all together as well.

Honestly, I think it's the same version, just made a little more cartoony for the sign. The outfit is the same and has the same straps positioned. If you look closely at his mask, it is still that helmet,goggle design. Just drawn a little closer to his face in an attempt to make him look like the comic version.

I think its the rubber body suit all his armor plates are attatched too. like Batman Returns.

Yeah, I was hoping they'd incorporate the mail aspect somehow, but I guess they won't.

Depending on who's drawing Cap, it's generally depicted as chainmail or scalemail, but the scalemail version is by far the most common... (platemail is technically just another term for full plate armour).

But I'd love to see some kind of high-tech scalemail in the Avengers movie... maybe some kind of super lightweight durable alloy scalemail developed for Cap by Stark Industries or something.

That's should be the Stark/SHIELD modernized/re-born version. Looks to be kevlar on his shoulder.

It's been mentioned that he'd have more than one suit.

I believe that there were rumours that a suit closer to the original comic book version would appear in the scenes where he is trotted out to entertain the troops for morale, and that there would be a more contemporary suit for when he eventually wakes up in present day.
