Remember when I said that I had lost faith in their ability to make another good X-Men film?

I take it all back! That was a work of art. I loved everything about that trailer. I really loved the music too!

Sorry samurainoir...I guess I was typing when you posted your link. Anyway we can get the MODS to merge these two threads. Thanks, Dane

Oh lord...I think my wife just had a 'full release'..!! Just showed her the link, and she SQUEEZED my arm and squealed...
(She was weaned on ToyBiz X-Men and that cartoon...and Jim Lee stuff...so...) I like the X-Men and X-stuff just fine, but I prefer the JLU and the Avengers. She LOVES the X-stuff however, and looks at those three movies the way that I look at Star Wars...maybe an age thing?

Personally, I dont think it looks bad at all...glad to see Havoc there, though Henry wouldnt have been blue and hairy at this point, eh?

Looks neat...is Ratner attached to this?

I've loved all of Matthew Vaughn's films thus far, and I have faith in this one.

Who'd of thought that Pixie would make it to the big screen so soon!

I had to google up the red Nightcrawler lookin' dude.

He's from Chuck Austen's run of X-Men! Azazel, Nightcrawler's Dad... which makes sense since Mystique is his mom. He's some kind of demonic entity in the comics.

Dear God NO!! The Director is Mathew Vaughn, who directed Layer Cake(w/Daniel Craig), and "Kick ***". Vaughn also produced Guy Richie's "Lock, Stock, And Two Smokin' Barrels", and "Snatch"

Huh. Nightcrawler is apparently one of many many demonic/mutant children of Azazel.

This guy is Nightcrawler's brother. His name is, and I kid you not... Kiwi Black. Because he's from New Zealand.

I'm a big fan of his adaptation of Neil Gaiman and Charles Vess' Stardust as well.

It has a real Princess Bride vibe to it.

first let me say this movie does actually look cool.

but not being a big fan of the Xmen comics.....is this movie in the same continuity as the other movies but as a prequel? How is it that Mystique is in this in the sixties when she was in the original trilogy?

I'm sorry...I'm old and gave up on the X-Men YEARS ago...this trailer made no sense to me.

...that doesn't mean I won't watch it, but I'm not gaga over it either.

Beast...? Mystique...? I understand that she's Kurt's Mom, but she should be as old as Scott & Jean, not Charles & Erik...really?

I Love Kick@ss, Layer Cake, Lock, Stock, And Two Smokin' Barrels, and Snatch, so I'll see this for sure, but it ain't the X-Men I know.

Crazy - so this is a period piece? Interesting. I kind of dig it, just because it's a little different.

looks like fun - my wife will be pretty happy about this one as well. Not sure why she likes the muties so much; she is not really a comic fan at all. But she does enjoy superhero movies so I am good for it.

I think the blue shaky foot bit was suppose to be Beasts move from bouncy jock to fuzzball??
