This will probably last about a year at most before Johnny's resurrected and we get our FF back.

The real reason behind this is the sluggish economy. Most of the heroes we know will be getting pink slips or at least having their salary re-negotiated. Money savings efforts will also now include the same 4-6 heroes comprising every single superhero group in the Marvel Universe.WANTED - Solid-Boxed WGSH's, C.8 or better.Comment

>Why don't Marvel and DC just kill everybody and we can have some scrubs fill in while the industry gets this gimmick out of their system?
But.... would that not ALSO be a gimmic?

Superboy's the only one headlining his own title right now, but I do like Steel and Artemis. Plus Cyborg Superman is turning out to be a pretty good Big Bad over in Green Lantern (kind of interesting that Superman's Evil Dop is a GL villain!).
Wally, Kyle and Conner Hawke have proven their legs as well.
I fully realize that I'm the minority around here, but I do like seeing Dick being Batman in the last year or so.
Bucky's run a Cap has also been a terrific read.
I don't think folks really give the books the chance they deserve. You can Judge this By The Cover (or the Marketing in this case), but Jonathan Hickman's written the best FF in years IMHO, and that includes popular and enjoyable runs by Mark Waid/Mike Weiringo and Mark Millar/Bryan Hitch (JMS' wasn't that bad either given that he was saddled with Civil War).
It's really been flying under the radar with a slow build for the last year, and I hope this Bump gives it the attention that it deserves.
At the very least, the audience isn't indifferent about it!Comment

I have been a big fanboy of the fantastic four since the early age of the 80s and when I see stuff like this I know that my departure from comic books in the early 2000s was a good reason. It looks like the ideas are running out in comic land.Comment

Didn't Spidey and Johnny Storm basically hate each other (at least in the early days)? I seem to remember that they used to beat the snot out of one another. It seems strange that they the remaining F4 would allow him in given the long time history of bitterness."The farther we go, the more the ultimate explanation recedes from us, and all we have left is faith."
