I don't know too many names that I could pick from, but one that I do know is Johnny Craig.

His EC work is pretty simplistic by today's standards and has probably been surpassed by many that have followed but to me, it still elicits a certain voyeuristic, "jaw-agape-oogi-ness" that I always felt while looking at carnival side show murals when I was a kid.

loved the horror story Neal Adams did for that record set with Frankenstein, Dracula and Wolfman.

No one's mentioned Gene Colon on Tomb of Dracula.

I'd consider Jim Aparo's Spectre run as horror and it was excellent.

Wrightson and Ploog are both great.

Wish I was more familiar the EC stuff.

Probably Corben and Colan, but every one mentioned so far is great. John Bolton, of course. Tim Conrad.

Oh yeah, gotta go with Graham Ingels, no one did horror like him. The guy was made for horror comics. It's funny to see his western and romance work in the pre-trend ECs, as once the horror books started, Ingels found his true calling. It's unfortunate that he was too good at horror, when the horror books folded he was so typecast that he found it almost impossible to find comics work after that (other than his excellent French revolution stories in EC's Valor, and his really nice work in the "Picto-Fiction" Terror Illustrated).

True it's a shame that he was so called "typecast" but you know his Legend is secured as a Horror Master and part of the EC mystic........

Have to say I've always preferred Jack Davis to Graham Ingels.
His Crypt Keeper portraits are tops, and there is something about the way he drew his zombies, kind of spongy and pulpy, that is just... horrible.

Having said that, that first Ingels Haunt of Fear cover above is sweet!
