Yup. Just finished reading it, and the last panel posted there is the last we see of Johnny. So he's being swarmed by bugs, but no body and no true death scene. For whatever reason, they are just assuming he's dead? The kids of the future foundation have a combined IQ of a kajillion and they all think he's dead without actually seeing him die? So same time next year, we'll get the "big shock" of seeing Un'ca Johnny strolling out of the Negative Zone?

Nice homage (or ripoff) to the death of Spock in Star Trek Wrath of Khan. Johnny and Ben get their little moment together separated by an impenetrable shield.

Marvel's Marketing and publicity department aside, Fantastic Four been an enjoyable book to read for quite some time, and I particularly liked seeing Sue FINALLY pwning Namor for being a Jerk-face all the time. Of course it just makes him hornier for her, much to Sue's disbelief (I admit it gave me a chuckle).

Maybe he'll meet up and have an adventure with the one-off impostor Thing character who supposedly died in the Negative Zone way back in issue #51.

Even Gwen Stacy...who was gone for decades...came back in Spidey 3...and it's set to appear again as the main leading lady in the new Spidey flick as well...

The fact of the matter is, you will no doubt be able to find Johnny Storm/Human Torch alive and well in five or so titles every month at your local comic store, it just won't be in the "Official Continuity".

Any speculation of the new "FF" title that is replacing Fantastic Four in the meanwhile?

I wouldn't mind the Future Foundation kids taking centre stage for a while. Valeria, Franklin, Bentley, Leech, Artie, Dragon Man et al are very entertaining and were overrunning the title anyways.

My favourite part was when they let Franklin and Valeria answer the reader's mail in the letter's page.
