I like the film, at the time it was more true to the character than most of the Bat franchise. The director's cut is longer and if I recall correctly, gives a lot more Matt Murdock. There is a whole trial subplot that is cut out.

Count me in as a person who doesn't understand the stank people have put on this film. IMO it's far more tolerable than Xmen 3 or Wolverine: Origins.

For me the scene with Matt Murdock and Electra in the kids park near the begining killed the whole film. A blind man does not walk on top of see-saws going up and down like Gene Kelly dancing without falling down and breaking his leg or his azz. That scene alone should have given up his whole secret identity. As it was it looked like a dance routine without music. What the hell possessed anyone to include that scene!?!?

I would have preferred a more accurate costume than what he had. Many people didn't like a Black Kingpin. I think Michael Duncan Clarke was very good in the role. Maybe the rose left at the crime scene was a bit lame of an idea in leading Daredevil to his father's killer. Bullseye having a bullseye carved into his forehead and wearing a quilted coat didn't look too impressive to me. He says he wants to wear a costume in the film. So give him a decent costume to wear.

The director of the film publicly said, before the film even came out, that MARVEL interfered too much and prevented him from doing everything he wanted. The Director's Cut may exonerate him.

I have not seen it but heard it was better than the theatrical release. My buddy and I disagree but there was much in this film that I liked. I did not like the Park Foreplay Fight scene so much but it was fun to see.

Kingpin as Duncan like Devito and Penguin, but he was a Puss.

Daredevil letting the Dude get run over was harsh, but it made the " I'm not the Bad Guy " line more Poignaint.
Loved the design of the apartment. liked Foggy.

I didnt read Daredevil, he wasnt an avenger, or X-Man and he wasnt Spiderman/Hulk popular .
I think thats why I liked it . No preconceived notions. The modern graphic novel stories I have read have been good reading.

Elecktra was the only real problem with this movie, naff costume and what was the chances of them all meeting on the same roof top?

The director's cut explained his relationship with his father better and gave an alternate vision of him fighting for the little guy just as an attorney. I liked that contrast to his Daredevil persona. I loved the way they explained his sensory radar and I really liked the outfit and thought it captured the essence of the character without losing his iconic look in the concept. The director's cut is a well told story that, in my mind, was very deserving of a sequel. But, of course, that version never made it to the big screen, so we never got to see that played out. Then again, it did play out in real life. Daredevil married Electra after all. I'm still tickled how life imitated art in this instance. I think that was very cool.

Didn't the Directors version cut out the cheesy love scene by the fire place?
