Was getting used to the idea of Rami's organic webshooters, it kind of made sense from a mutation pov, but with mechanic, you get, not only the original concept, but you get to see how good a scientist Peter Parker was suppose to be.

Great news, but odd, since the organic web-shooters originated in the Ultimate comics. Rami stuck to the Lee-Ditko-Romita stuff for the most part (esp. in the first two movies) but made the concession to the organic webshooters from the then hot Ultimate books.

This movie is supposedly based on Ultimates period, and are using the old-school Lee-Ditko webshooters.

But hey, I ain't complainin'!

I do agree that will be a fun addition to the series. I will be interested to see how it's utilized. Still need to see that mask though. I'm hoping we don't get these bizarre McFarland eyes.

Hope it doesn't become the scapegoat story plot - Web shooter out of fluid. Sort of like the landing party loosing their communicators in Star Trek.

I like the mechanical shooter in the story rather than organic, though. When the first movie came out I remember a writer to Entertainment Weekly asked the magazine that if the organic webbing was supposed to make Peter Parker emulate powers of a spider more accurately, then shouldn't the web be shooting out of his butt?
