Seems to me the Cartoon Network is going to rotate the two in the 6:30 p.m. time slot. I'm guessing more B&B in the summer. Just a guess. Here's a link to a dated article for the show but it does mention episodes that have yet to air.
I like YJ, but the creators are obsessed with people ripping out of their skin, and taking words like disconcert, and playing on them. Concert, whelm, etc. I guess it's a running gag.
The show is skewing a lot older than I expected. It's pretty dark and violent. I honestly don't understand why it doesn't get the same warning Clone Wars throws up every night.
Again, I like it. But now that I've seen a few, I think I'd pick B&B if I had to chose.
I'd say Brave and Bold skews younger than Young Justice. YJ I would say is targeted more towards 'tweens... which usually is the nature of anything featuring Teens.
I just picked up Young Justice #0 and noticed it wasn't Art B writing... does he begin his run on #1?
Tonight's episode was an improvement over the last two, although I've enjoyed them all.
I hope they go into why Superman is being such a jerk. I understand him being weirded out, but it seems odd coming from an alien raised by humans who looked past his strange origins. It was nice to see Bruce and Clark though. And Clark had his fedora!
Two episodes in a row with costume variants for the team. Built-in action figures!
B&B wasn't renewed, so they stopped production last summer. Diedrich Bader said at SDCC they have two or three future seasons completed, and the last few will have Superman and Wonder Woman which were finally cleared for use.
It's an Apples vs Oranges thing going on here. Way to different to say one IS better then the other unless we're talking personal preferences. I can see B&B being more popular around here as the theme of the show is very Silver Age/60's. YJ is firmly planted in Modern so it doesn't compare. I really like and enjoy both. I haven't seen all the B&B episodes as I'm hoping to get DVD box sets for each season and I don't get why they put them out four episodes at a time as its such a waste of money. I've downloaded all of season 1 for now until it comes out for sale and I'm watching season 2 mostly online.
I like them both. Thus far, i prefer Brave and Bold, but am glad I don't have to choose between them.
It took me several episodes to warm up to Brave and Bold at the beginning. I thought i wanted something more serious, but the episode with Aquaman and Atom pushed me over the edge to loving the show. At that point I realized the producers really loved all the characters — goofy stuff and all — and that there was some intelligence behind the camp, unlike a lot of cartoon drivel served up since the old Batman TV series.
I liked the homage to Superman: The Movie at the beginning of the latest YJ episode. I also like the fact that its showing Batman to be stern, but not antisocial like some of the comics from the last 20 years. I liked seeing Clark with the hat, but it didn't really fit the modern setting, but hey maybe hats will come back in.
Like how Black Canary was used.
It would be fun to see the guys producing YJ do a companion Justice League show because so far I've liked their characterizations of the League members.
