Free is good. Even if it is bad you can't complain too much!
Too many toys. Not enough space!

I look at it like this:

I am a Seth Rogan fan.

I am a die-hard Green Hornet fan from waaay back, in multiple media.

I have reservations about the film, but conceding my statements above, I'd be a hypocrite if I didn't give the film a chance.

Heck, if I could sit through Dark Knight and hear that turgid mess lauded here far and wide as the Best. Thing. Ever.--then I can give this modest GH movie a chance--it looks fun.

And if it's fun but not too funny, I'll be pleased.

NO FLIPPING WAY!!!! Not in the theatre, not on cable, not rental, NOTHING! This movie doesn't deserve my time. Just Van Williams and the radio drama.

I think its going to be a fun movie. I have no idea if its faithful to the original or not. I know little to nothing about the original. I think I might see it in Imax on Sunday morning or I might go see it before my shift Friday afternoon.

Of course I know that Rogan has this rep as a goofy stoner, but I respect that he cared enough to physically change his image for this film.

The film's MO--of a spoiled, disaffected playboy who is inspired to "rise above" is realistic & plausible for Rogan. Modern viewers will likely see this as a Batman riff, but from what I can tell, the film seems pretty failthful to the source material.

I'm curious to check it out - but I'll probably wait until it hits my rep theatre or maybe even DVD because that's what I normally do anyway.
