It's a great book. I would have liked to see a section dedicated to the DC version of the character and that era of merchandising, but overall a very nice collection. As a lifelong Shazam fan, it fills my heart with joy to see someone put so much of themselves into a project like this.

I love the old Captain Marvel from the Fawcett Books...probably the most affordable of the Golden Age books out there. Does the book cover comics...or is it strictly the merchandising around Captain Marvel?
Speaking of Captain Marvel...I knew that these books were a little rare...but damn!!
Thanks to my Big Bro for getting this for me a loooooooooong time ago.

Berto, it covers a little bit of everything. They reprint some pages in their original inks and colored to show the processes. They have foreign artwork and some rare covers. It's an all-inclusive book and has tons of stuff I certainly never knew existed. It also has sections for Marvel Jr. and Mary. There's even a short chapter for Hoppy. My favorite image from the book is Cap firing a machine gun. IF you even a moderate fan of the Fawcett stuff, this book is essential.
