I totally agree. I even think the villain choices they made were way out of order.
Gwen should have been the first girl, then the whole death of Gwen at the hands of the Goblin should have been the 3rd movie.
Movie 4 is the intro of MJ and a new villian.

I was always annoyed by the fact the whole Mary Jane/Gwen dynamic with the Goblin got twisted around so that Mary Jane was knocked off the bridge. That was sacrilege. Hopefully they will make a CLASSIC villain that actually looks like the comic incarnation this time. I will admit though they did a fine job with Doc Ock. Spiderman 2 was the jewel in that trilogy.

1) Didn't like Dunst;
2) Didn't like Maquire;
3) Didn't like the 'Gwen' they used in 3..;

Emma Stone is drop-dead gorgeous, but the only thing I've seen her in is Superbad. She seems pretty awesome, although I was kind of disappointed to find out that she's not a real redhead - I had always hoped she'd end up playing MJ. With the red hair, she looks very much like the classic panel where MJ says, "You just hit the jackpot!"

Spidey 2 is BY FAR...the best of the trilogy.

Spidey 1 is good...except I hated the Green Goblin as RoboCop...that costume was atrocious...lol...although Willem Dafoe himself made a good Norman Osborne.

I HATE Spidey 3...what a garbage of a movie...Venom was a joke...Sandman was ok...the black Spidey costume did nothing for me...the whole thing was just badly made...oh man...I cringe every time I picture Maguire as Parker dancing...ROTFLMFAO...

I feel your pain Hector. When I first saw that promo picture a few months back, my first thought was, "Oh God. Twilight Spidey." And even though I will say Gwen is just perfect, I still have concerns for the new project. All of these rumors of the film going into the "ultimate" universe mode, when we have generations of well crafted classic stories is just beyond misguided. They can't make this film for a small percentage of the comic community. It has to be for characters the public is familiar with - Green Goblin, Lizard, Scorpion, Mysterio, Electro, or even the Rhino (wouldn't that be cool). So hopefully that stuff stays as rumor and we get a real solid script based on classic Spider-man stories. Hey even if it goes back to the Ditka era 60's would be very cool.
