Anyone remember Reagan from Genesis' Land of Confusion video?

Ronnie was rockin' the red and blues even back then!
"It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues. There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carries the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death. It shall be life."

He didn't, not really. The "S" on the belt buckle has appeared on several merchandise items through the years. Halloween costumes, Captain Action outfits, and this painting. But as far as I know, there was never a comic precedent for it. I think they just do it to "dress up" Superman's rather drab choice of keeping his tights up.

I always liked the "S" on the buckle especially on costumes. just has a nice touch to it. Funny anytime I draw Superman because of this painting I put the "S" on it......

I need to get a good scan of this portrait. Loved it since I got the DC Treasury with it as the cover back when I was a kid.

I've been looking for a good scan of it for years--the closest thing I can find is the version used as the Treasury cover, with all the text and logo (as above).

I could be wrong, but I think there is a large, uncluttered photo of it in one of Les Daniels' DC books. Maybe the Superman; The Golden Age book?

If anyone finds a place to download this picture, please, let me know. I would love to have a good pic. I can't take pictures of it where it is displayed, it is up on the side of the library wall, and kind of hard to get a good shot of, I also, dont have a good camera.

                            Thanks
