He is leaner than Arnold...but taller...Height: 6′ 4″ Weight: 210 lbs.

His looks more like Frank Frazetta's Conan than Arnold, don't you think?

As a die hard fan of the REH stories, I await all movie adaptations of his works with great anticipation.

When I first heard that Momoa had been cast as Conan, I was very skeptical. It just didn't seem right.

But the more photos that are released of him in character, the more it looks like it might be okay, if he can pull it off.

I mean, it can't be any worse than Kevin Sorbo as Kull... can it?

I was against Momoa playing Conan at first...but that bottom Pic of him swinging the Sword is pretty bad-arse!

Momoa gives Conan that Neanderthal-look...just like Franzetta's illustrations...

Not a huge Conan fan, but the initial pics of this guy had me scratching my head. I must say he looks the part pretty well now.

Yeah I was against him at first but those pics do look good although I wish he was a little bit bigger.

I'll wait for the trailer to completely sell me.....

Good call. Buscema gave him that vacant, crazed stare look. This guy's got it there.

I think Arnold had more of the overall look that John Buscema gave Conan in the comics. Especially in bulk. This new one is no where close to that in muscle. I think this interpretation is meant to reflect the impression given from the novels. It should be pretty cool.

I'm still not buying him in the role yet.I'll have to see a trailer but so far he doesn't work for me.
