Jon Favreau not returning for IRONMAN 3

To be honest, i'm not really sure where they will go with a Iron Man 3 movie post Avengers. IM2 wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. I guess the intro of the Mandarin and maybe Hawk eye (as he is already in the Avengers movie) as a side kick might be interesting.

I hope we don't lose Robert Downey Jr. because of this. I really liked both Iron Man movies, and felt they were two of the more solid super hero offerings.

I thought he was involved in The Avengers as a producer?

This might end up being a good thing. While the technology around his chest piece makes for some interesting back story, it's gotten tiresome to sit through for two entire films. Clearly his dad will play a role in Capt America's shield technology and who knows what other hero tie ins. But it would be nice to just see Iron Man on a good ole adventure into the lair of the Mandarin. Perhaps a little less "techy" and little more on the adventure, fantasy angle.
