    Smallville Icarus

Gotta say this is one of my favorite smallville episodes from the engagement of Lois and Clark to the reunion of Hawkman (who died at the end) Stargirl Black Canary and then there was the flash/impluse aquaman and cyborg who they did not show thier faces becasue they couldnt get the actors in this episode..altogetherthough it was really cool

It was very good. Wish Black Canary had a bigger role though. But I love the "pop the question" moment and party. Certainly a sweet mid-season cliff hanger.

For me it was a little ant climactic as far as the ending. I enjoyed it up until the end.

I was confused by the ending with that thing popping out of the sand.

^ I was going to ask if anyone knew what that was all about. Great episode though. I think the small Canary role was just setting up for the rest of the season. I expect heroes in every episode from here on out. Sad to see HM killed off but since they do it in the comics pretty much every year with the Hawks, it was to be expected.

When I found out the title of the episode was "Icarus" I had a suscpicion that Hawkman would be the character they bumped off to up the ante a bit with this Vigilante Registration Act

I'd love to see him return with a reincarnated Shiera but it's probably too late for that...Michael Shanks did a great job with the character and I'm sorry to see him go.

yeah I thought he did a great job with the part as well. ironically, this episode also showcased his wings and powers the best as well

I was thinking the same thing. Bring them both back for the final battle against Darkseid. That would so rock.

Yea, the ending was a little WTH but that's why it's called a cliff hanger.

Could that have been Fate's helmet coming up through the sand? Although the audio from the teaser at the end seemed to indicate it was the VRA/Darkseid folks.

Shanks got a heck of a send-off as Hawkman. He looked more impressive here than his last costumed appearance. He actually stuck his mace in Slade's back! That was a cool bit. Even back in the sanitary Silver Age, you always got the feeling Hawkman was the one guy who wasn't above lethal force. After all, he was a police officer.

Great episode. I do hope Shank returns as Hawkman, with Shiera in tow. I really came to like him as well. At least there were some great GA/Hawkman barbs thrown in this one too.

My dvr cut off the last few seconds!! Did anything happen after that glowing pyramid came out of the sand and they were all shown lying there knocked out?

Looks like that other Lionel is going to be in it too.

If Chloe keeps sending these little secret messages then why does Oliver think she's dead? Or did I forget/miss something?
