"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."
Sometime after it was made DC started handing out Cease and Desist Letters by the dozen. Basically DC/Warner Bros. wanted it to be known they would not stand for anyone with any talent or a clue how to make a superhero film to try and make any proposal that might rescue any of their big name characters from development hell.
If you get the bootleg DVD at a convention there's a Making Of Grayson where the Director, John Fiorella, tells you how the whole thing was made for a very low budget. You might even find it on Youtube. I think he did a great job on that fan trailer with the money they spent. I don't think anyone would ever develop it as a film tho. No-one wants to do a film where Batman is killed and Robin must step up.
Grayson is listed on IMDB.com and you can follow the people who were in it. Some have moved on the big-budget films and sadly the actor who played the Joker in it passed away back in January.
