Do you think they will do a "reboot" without retelling the origin? I'm not sure it is necessary to cover all of that again and I hope they don't.

I honestly think Supes is one character that could have a movie without having to start the story all over. I feel like they could just dive into a new story without "grinding ground corn".

I believe Chris Nolan made a comment, that they wouldn't be re-telling Supes origin.

That would be good. I think that has been overdone. Batman needed a reboot with the origin. Superman, not so much.

I don't watch Smallville but now that I think of it, maybe if they want to reject Smallville some origin or anti-Smallville flashback material may be necessary.

Not that I'll go anyway unless it looks good. Kevin Smith had a script once that opened with Brainiacs ship in space... something like that might get my attention. Although I don't know much more about that script or even Brainiac who I also think was in Smallville.

and I confess the orphanage was news to me although I just read about it recently somewhere along with notes on Siegel and Schuster getting a lifetime pension after the Superman movie with Christopher Reeve.
