The way they did the suit looks awful and Ryan Reynolds is completely wrong... Sigh... But of course, all the little comic book fans will flock to this turd of a film, just like they do all the rest of them, further feeding the Hollywood poop machine, enabling them to shove more stupidity like this down our throats. I really wish people's attitude towards these films was more of the "It could have been so much better..." instead of "Isn't this great? We got a GL movie!!!".

I too was skeptical at first about the casting of Reynolds.
His smarminess and humor seemed better suited for other characters. However, the character of Hal Jordan, initially fits. If you read any of his origin stories, Hal Jordan is a selfish, unrepentant, rebellious loudmouth who happend to also be a pilot. He's a hothead with an attitude. That's Reynolds.

Yeah, that teaser trailer is what I was basing my opinion on. I still say its too early to make a call. Like I said, the talent employed for this project is massive. I'm hard pressed to shoot it down regardless of what I like or don't like on that teaser. If you think about it, putting the Green Lantern to film, has to be somewhat conceptual to be believed. Just throwing him in tights and allowing him to fly with a green vapor trail is a touch shallow. My gut still tells me this movie will be epic.Comment

This looks great to me, and I don't mind saying that. The energy/CGI costume is a valid way to interpret it from the comics. I think GL had the potential to bridge the gap between straight Sci-Fi and Super Hero genres. I am looking forward to this movie more than any other coming out next year.
