    Dark Knight Rises casting females

Which characters do you want to see as villainess and/or love interest in the new Batman movie?

Who would you want to see cast in these roles?

(1 female baddie. 1 love interest)

Given Ras' role in Batman Begins, I think Talia needs to have some screentime. Although Catwoman does deserve another shot after the lackluster movie.

    None.
I am fed up with Bat-Flicks using half the Movie transforming it into some chickflick. Let him Just Kick Arse, without the Drama for once.

I'm siding in the camp that couldn't care less about a love interest character. It's a total waste of time. If they want to show him with a couple hot escort chicks fine, but I don't care about a female lead at all.

Catwoman is sorta hot in the suit, but I really can't stand all the cat puns when she talks. I know it's appropriate for the character and all but is so totally purrrrdictable. She doesn't need redemption, she needs to be ignored, IMO.

I guess Jane Doe or Mime could be nice and creepy in a psychotic sort of way if handled properly. Harley Quinn could have some role trying to avenge Joker or something. Poison Ivy is sort of expected so she's out, and I do NOT want to see the The Ventriloquist.

Another thing I don't like is they always have to tell the female about Bruce's secret. They've been doing that since Burton and Nolan really isn't much better.

I am so sick of Hollywood Pussywhipped Batman. Man Up, and Quit Chasing Tail for 2 Hrs, and Kick Some Arse for Once. Ask Timiverse how they do it if you need to.

I completely agree with everything said here: no love interest, just plain asskicking and no telling his secret

I dont know why they have to come up with new ideas for stories for comic book movies anyway...they have a wealth of perfectly good stories that are already loved and could be directly translated onto film. I'd love to see them do 'The Cult', 'Long halloween', Killing Joke' or even 'A Death in the Family' on film, lets face it the batfans will already know these stories and they would still be something new to non comic reading viewers.

If this is indeed the final chapter of Nolan's Bati-verse and completes the trilogy, it might make sense to introduce Ra's Al Ghul's daughter Talia and bring everything full circle to the first flick.....

I want to make a movie based on a romance comic and tack in a superhero.

i think the belief is that in order to capture a broader audience they need a love story. i disagree. especially when the love story isn;t any good. i suppose if they actually had a compelling story to tell it would be fine but so far - nada.

b/c the dark knight is a complex charater and a loner it is hard to put romance in. the IDEA of the story for Begins was god - he has to act like a playboy with chicks on his arms. he wants love in someone he trusts BUT - there was no need to connect the girl to his childhood and the actress was terrible. and it should be that he does not allow the relationship to take place - a tragic loves story in that he can not have love.

What Brue said. Begins/DK handled it right. And in killing Rachel, now Batman has one more tragedy in his life to fuel him.

I'd like to see Talia or Catwoman. At least those two have historically been involved with Batman, not Bruce Wayne, and therefore don't distract from the main storyline like other love interests.

What do people think of having the Villain/Love Interest in one? Talia or Catwoman?

The one romantic-sub-plot-but-not-really I've enjoyed in the comics was his difficulties with bodyguard Sash Bordeaux (who went on to star in Checkmate). Their "courtship" actually progressed in the only way Bruce could allow... she ended up in a costume fighting crime with him. Given Bruce's character and inclinations, his "Bro-mance" with Bordeaux progressed for more organically than any other woman in his life, particularly as his greatest loves (Catwoman and Talia) tend to be on the other side of the law.

I do like the idea of a fractured, twisted romance with Catwoman, although I admit we saw it already in Burtons movie.
Expectation is the death of discovery.
