    Smallville "Harvest"

I'm so glad I came back to this show this year....every episode is a winner for me on some level...

I LOVE the interaction between Lois and Clark....for the first time in the Superman mythos I feel that they're really equals and partners right off the bat...yin and yang, they complete each other. Erica Durance is fantastic to watch...Her Lois is actually going to make Clark a better Superman from the get-go. Definitely not your "Weisinger" Lois with the scissors behind her back

And how creepy did that kid Luthor clone turn out to be! I really hope Michael Rosenbaum comes back otherwise this is gonna feel like a bat and switch at the end. I could care less if Kristin Kruek comes back....the only way I'd like to see her return is to bump her off permanently to give Clark that final push to the cape and tights....

^^ that would be very cool. but won't happen,. if only because they are developing the Man of Steal movie now and DC does not like conflicting story lines out at the same time.....makes you wonder then what the hell they are doing in the comics.

I liked the episode but iot was not one of my faves. they need to get moving with the action and putting Clark in the suit. Also, where the hell is Darkseid?

        Wishful thinking, I know.

I liked but but felt it was a step down from recent episodes. Seemed like th emain storyline was filler.

It was definetly a "filler" episode. When producers sit down and deceide where to spend money, they can pump up episodes FX wise but then have to do character driven episodes that cost less to make the seasons budget.

Liked it but did Lois and Clark have to do it?

Were you a little nervous about the implications of Larry Niven's famous essay, Man of Steel, Woman of Kleenex?

They had been dancing around the issue longer than any other series would have given that Lois has now been on this show for half a decade and they have been actively courting for a couple of years now. I think they handled it quite responsibly and romantically ta boot. It really did represent a true moment of intimacy and the next level in their relationship, given the fact that this was the moment where there were no more secrets or lies of necessity between them.

I could see it being more of a potential controversy waaaay back in the day around the fourth season or so when Clark and Lana finally had sex with each other as teens (and it really was seen as a bit of a non-issue then), but two adults in a long term relationship whom we all know will get married (and they even show it the previous episode where they jump to the future) seems the least controversial thing.

Certainly less so than Lois accidentally find out Clark his Superman, thus giving them the flimsiest of excuses to have sex, accidentally impregnating her, erasing her memories and then going off into space and coming back to discover the mess you left behind with Lois raising their son as a single mother in a long time relationship with Cyclops.

LOVE, and allowing himself to be loved (and make love) is what makes him the true hero he's destined to become... can't beat that for a positive message. Full marks to the writers for making this such a big iconic deal, and Lois having such an important INTRINSIC role in all of it for the first time in the 7 decades of mythology. Terrific performances by the two leads in all the recent episodes.

I LOVE this angle! If DC wants to modernize the Superman story, this is what they should be doing in the comics instead of "Superman in a Hoody" by JMS ...

Very good points. I think what got me is I may have turned my head away from the TV or something.... it seemed to me that they went from handling the Children of the Corn and the Wicker Man straight into bow chicka bow bow... so my view was probably skewed. Anyway, good point and I concede. Plus it is sooooo much better than the dead beat dad, date rapist, stalker storyline of "Superman Returns"
