I just picked this up from someone on the Bay ..., 18.95 Shipped for the HC book..., no Tax, No Shipping , retails for 19.99 ... so I thought I'd check it out. Looking forward to this ..., Anyone Else ?

Between Squadron Supreme and his take on (Doctor) Strange, I think JMS generally does a better job on the reinventions than working within regular continuity. He's supposedly a huge Superman fan with one of the largest collections of Supes collectibles Babylon 5 money can buy.

Does EVERYONE have to be hip and moody? No. Was Clark Kent ever hip and moody? No.
Even on Smallville he's not hip.
But this doesn't look bad, so long as it's not THE continuity to follow.
I wish it had a different name. The Earth One Superman has YET to return (outside of All-Star Superman, which was pretty close).

You Know, When I was looking at it ..., and reading the Descriptions , I was attracted to different aspects, but never thought Smallville ..., However now after reading comments, I suppose it could be somewhat, but Hey, Atleast he's got a Costume you don't have to wait till season 10 for a Maybe.

Seriously why the **** does DC always try to reinvent Superman and always trying to get him dark.....Batman is the dark brooding Character. Superman is the Contrast to Batman.....

This part I agree with. I think he's ruining DC too. Years ago I read an article where he was saying that he wanted to kill Nightwing off and I've hated him ever since. With him, everytime sales get low he decides to have another Crisis and now its at the point where it doesn't mean anything. Even killing Batman off had no meaning. We all knew he'd be back because it would be a bad financial move to permanently off Bruce Wayne. It's at the point where I no longer enjoy the Bat books (Batgirl and Gotham Sirens are the exception) and they are the focus of my collection....or were since I'm quiting with Batman Incorporated.
Didio needs to go. He can take Grant Morrison with him.Comment
