    Smallville "Isis"

After last week's episode, this one was going to be somewhat of a letdown, but it was definitely an above average outing. Erica Durance in that outfit alone was worth sitting on the couch for an hour.

The little comic references were nice. Andrianna, Teth-Adam, etc.

And the ending...WOW. They did it. Clark told Lois his secret. And they pulled our leg pretty well. Smallville is notorious about making you think something is going to happen, only to jerk the rug out from under you. Lois was walking toward that elevator, and it looked as if she was going to walk out of the scene before Clark got up the nerve, but then...the door closed and she stayed. Well played.

Smallville really is pulling out the stops this year, breaking it's own conventions. It's been a great ride so far.

This is the part of the mythos that I am all in favour of changing. Given the fact that we know they ended up married and she shares his secret with no ill effects to this day, we can bypass all the trickery/deceit and misogyny of the Mort Weisinger era. She can actually be on the "inside" when he debuts as Superman finally.

It was always the part of the Superman movies starting from the second one onwards that really rang false with me. He erases her memories, and of course Superman Returns gives us a kid that she has no memory of conceiving!

Lois made a comment like "about time" or "took you long enough", after she tackled Clark and knocked him down. He had that "You knew?!?" look on his face, and then they smooched.

It was a really sweet and heart-felt scene.

And I agree totally on the old snoopy Lois-Clark-Superman triangle. It's been played out to death. And it made Lois look like a total psycho-bee-otch.

Yeah, pretty much....not an outright statement, but as she already knew and the audience knows that she had it all figured out, it was more a jab at Clark for finally "getting it". It was a fun scene and well-played.

i enjoyed the episode but enough already with the possessions.....as if it is not bad enough that Darkseid will be possessing bodies all season now lois gets possessed by Isis? season has been great so far, but with a few exceptions, last nights ep was not one of my faves

I don't know if the writers had it in mind, but that angle still exists with the introduction of the Cat Grant character. Obviously, she's not a love interest, but she is a snoopy reporter who will be the "fly in the ointment" for keeping Clark's identity safe.

I actually missed last nights as I was out. I'll have to catch it on the internet. I just watched Supergirl the other day since I had missed that one as well.

Yeah, I'm glad they finally let the Cat out of the Bag. It's going make this season much more FUN!

They have made Cat an extremely annoying and unlikable character....they should have just left her out of the mythos

Agreed. Cat is beyond annoying. She serves a purpose, like filling in the snoopy Lois role as saildog said, but man, I hope Darkseid omega beams her before the season is over.

Oddly, Erica in that skirt did wonders for me.

They know it's the last season so every thing on the can't do list is now on the to do list.
