I'm not sure about this- if the aliens have such advanced technology why can't they faithfully reproduce the lantern my great-grandpa used when he worked for the railroad back in the 20's?

Realistically it makes sense that the device to re-charge your power ring should look like Alien Tech so this is cool. It somewhat resembles a lantern-it shouldn't necessarily look exactly like a 20th century train lantern. Unless the device had chameleon-like properties to allow it to blend in wherever it is kept. In which case they could depict it changing into a facsimilie of an Earth lantern.

That is really, really cool. Even seeing little details like this is making me so much more excited for the film. Strange that the Thor hammer, armor and Asgard pics do nothing for me.

I generally love comic movies as a whole, and I'm stirctly a DC guy. However, I do believe that any movie success either Marvel of DC is good for the industry, so I really want Thor and Cap America to be awesome and to do well. I just don't feel the same anticipation for them. Is it because we already know the limitations of the Thor and Cap stories and how they end?

In any case, I'm totally and completely jazzed for Green Lantern.
